Promenade Beach & temples across Pondicherry
Masi Magam is one of Pondicherry's most spectacular festivals, held on the full moon day in the Tamil month of Masi (Feb–Mar). Thousands of devotees carry deity idols from temples across the city in colourful processions to the sea for a sacred ritual bath. The Promenade Beach transforms into a sea of colour, music, and devotion. The procession from Manakula Vinayagar Temple is particularly grand and worth witnessing.
